Here’s my first post, of the most recent resurrection of Plastic Neon. My 2017 New Year’s resolution was to work on social networking, and begin a solid blog or vlog presence.
So far, most of my time has been spent on Instagram. In the beginning, I posted a lot of random stuff, just trying to figure out what I will enjoy posting about in the future. I’m not the type to post a lot of personal stuff, yet I tried to broaden myself a little there too. Ultimately though, I view social networking as a means to update people, and throw out the more off the cuff content.
Outside of the random, I ended up posting some quick art, that I called #remixart. Then I posted several computer and arcade pictures from the ’80s. I can see posting more of both, but right now, I’m feeling very nostalgic. So I’ll probably continue posting more ’80s stuff.
I found it hard to decide on what to post. I was concerned that people would get confused as I switch from subject to subject. Like, I don’t want people to think that Plastic Neon is just about arcades, or the ’80s. But really, Plastic Neon is just my blog/vlog. It sums up me and the things I enjoy. So, I don’t know how to not make it all over the place.
If you don’t like Instagram, those posts are also syndicated to Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr. Then beyond that, the real nitty-gritty can be found here. My blog/vlog will be much more focused than my social posts.
